Christmas market in the hills Rebild Bakker The outdoor Christmas market in Rebild on the first day of Advent has in very few years become a tradition and a popular event with 50 stalls and more than 5000 visitors. Here, you find an old fashioned and homely outdoor Christmas market with everything that belongs – Christmas elves, decorations, Christmas trees, greenery, decorations, presents and roasted almonds.
As well private persons as shops move outdoor and the traders are eager to decorate their stalls for Christmas, invitingly and homely. Go for a ride in the forest with the spruce-decorated horse carriage. The horses are dressed for Christmas with pixy hats and jingle bells.

Christmas outing to Rold skov
For the Christmas decorations we collect cones, moss, spruce and other things which are to be found in the forest. Afterwards we light a fire and make a cup of hot cocoa or coffee, while we are getting advice and tips from a professional florist on how to create an interesting Christmas decoration. Bring your own branch scissors and carrier bags.

Christmas Show with Johnny Logan & Friends
The world famous Irish singer Johnny Logan performs often in Denmark.
He has got a very large audience in this country and after the release of his CD in 2001 there is a great demand for this charming singer.
A piece of advice: Buy your ticket now! On his just finished tour in Scandinavia the tickets were sold out almost everywhere.

Dancing for families in ”Spillemands, Jagt og Skovbrugsmuseet” (Museum for fiddlers, hunting and forestry). Dear children, parents, grandparents and everybody else with an interest in music and dancing.
Come and join the dancing and funny singing games. Everybody can join. After the family dancing “The Rebild Fiddlers” will strike up on dancing from 2 pm till 5 pm.

Christmas concert with the “St. Trifon Choir” from Murmansk in Solbjerg Church.
When this choir from Russia is performing in an arched church-room as in Solbjerg, you will get an overwhelming experience of a fantastic and really special sound. Once again the church in Solbjerg is the location of a quite unusual concert.

Christmas Marked at Nørlund Castle. Restaurant Nørlund has an open café as well as a restaurant. The fireplace is lit, you will find gløgg (Danish Christmas toddy), coffee, Christmas cake and you can enjoy delightful live music while you wait for your self-designed winter cap.

Winter solstice in Rold Skov On the shortest day of the year we will visit some of the ancient holy places in the forest. In these places our ancestors gathered on this very day, when the sun is very low in order to benefit from the magic powers of winter solstice. We will see lines and circles of stone, burrows, springs and we will listen to the stories about superstition in the old days. The terrain is hilly. Children are welcome.
