The area is seething with art and culture
 No matter if you want to experience art in a gallery, art centres or in The closed church Buderup Ødekirke  or seet out on an art route either by bike or by car to see for instance the sculptures at the fish stairs in Terndrup and the square in Bælum.  In Støvring there are also many granite sculptures to be found..  .. or what about going under earth in the chalk mines “Thingbæk Kalkminer” with the ceiling vaults as you find in a cathedral. It is a unique experience for the visitor to see the many sculptures here.  If you are about to participate in one of the exiting art classes at Støvring Højskole, you could be inspired by visiting one of the local working artists – for example Henrik Kjelds in Skørping.

Rebild is known and visited by many for the beautiful and exceptional nature, but at the national park Rebild Bakker the outdoor opera “Opera in Rebild” and the culture event, the 4th of July Festival, also take place.  The Museum for fiddlers, hunting and forestry holds perhaps the eldest authentic tradition for fiddler’s music and folk dance in Denmark. The culture offers a number of events over the year – Constitution Day in Terndrup, the Christmas markets, indoor at the castle Nørlund and the old fashioned, outdoor at Rebild Bakker.

 When the twilight falls, you can bring your own chair or blankets if you want to experience amazing movies in the open air in the forest. If you prefer comfortable chairs and indoor facilities when you go to the movies, the cinema “Kinorevyen” in Skørping is another possibility. Well, it is almost unlimited how much art and culture you can experience in Rebild, the mentioned examples are only selections of what the area offers. The Tourist Information Office is ready to help with suggestions as to what you can see and do the next time you visit the area.
