Nature Experiences in Rebild
Rold Forest, one of the largest forests in Denmark, and the hilly moor landscape Rebild Bakker welcome you all year round
 Regardless the season the forest is accessible for everyone. In the spring with light green colours, in the summer in all its glory, painted red in the autumn and decorated with snow in the winter.  The springs in the forest are the most water-rich in Northern Europe. The streams welcome the anglers and in the forest are primitive places for spending the night in one of the bivouacs in the forest.  A hike in the forest with one of the able guides of the area is a healthy experience for body and soul. If you never have experienced Rold forest after dark, you really have something to look forward to.  You can have exciting nature experiences in Sønderup Stream Valley, a marked erosion valley, or go to Frendrup Nihøje which is a protected area with many burial mounds, situated 100 metres above the sea.

There are many possibilities: laid out, marked paths or trips on your own which are easily managed with good maps.
There are possibilities of having a break on your way, swimming in one of the wonderful forest lakes, letting the children play in the forest playgrounds.  You can also have a break at one of the many fireplaces which are free to use. Bring your lunch and enjoy it in the most beautiful scenery, the forest.
